Finders Keepers Market Tales

December 6, 2009

The Finders Keepers market was a huuugge success. If you’re visiting for the first time cause you picked up a card, hello and thanks for stopping by!

The Carriage Works is an incredible space and the organisation and new layout were fantastic.  I also have to confess to liking this whole market with music and beverages – it created such a great vibe (or was that just me with a few vinos under my belt?)  I tried a couple of new things with the stall display for Finders to show off the “wares”. The first was a big yellow ball of helium balloons that I hung an owl from with fishing line. There was quite a breeze blowing through the Carriage Works so she was flying around with the balloons sometimes turning into an attack owl by swooping down on passers by. Quite a hit with the little kids passing by.  I also bought a second plywood tree to hold all the new owls that I had – it’s great for propping up the woof woofs and giraffes too.

.

I pretty much sold out of mini owl kits – every single one in any shade of pink and purple flew off the stand. The stripey Woof Woof and G-Rafs sold out and Mr Plaid Pup was very popular indeed. So, a day of beach is in order and then back to the bat cave to get ready for Allies Attic. Oh and as I promised, new kits in the store tonight.
