Here I sit with a glass of wine in hand looking at the photos from the Stitches and Craft show thinking it all seems a bit surreal. The crazy lead up full of late nights, sick toddlers, supplier dramas and stitching frenzy. The frantic packing of the car and driving out to set up in the middle of the night (ok it was only 8pm but still). The ridiculous lining up of yellow wallpaper tiles for the back wall (I will never do that again, what was I thinking?) The complete re-arranging of my stall one hour before the show opened. The amazing rush when I made my first sale. The look on people’s faces when they realised that the softies were all made out of socks. The smiles and the gushes of “how clever, did you come up with this?”. The nerves of doing a live demonstration. The amazing crafty chicks whose stalls on the incubator level were more inspirational than I can ever describe here.

The Stitches and Craft show will go down as one of the craziest, wonderful, exhausting things I have ever done. I have experienced the rush of presenting advertising pitches for multi-million dollar accounts and the terrifying thrill of traveling the world on my own… but this was something else.

Thank you Sydney.

And that’s all I have to say about that.
