The finished sock owl family

This final owl has taken much longer than anticipated. It took me forever to find a sock that matched the colours of the others. I didn’t want another brown, grey would be too much grey and blue would make the sock owl family more boy than unisex. So green was the only option left. Do you know how hard it is to find a soft olive coloured sock in this town? Maaan. The colour still isn’t 100% perfect but with the extra stitching detail on his tummy I’m really happy with the final owl. So here’s the whole family. They’re off to washington to adorn the nursery of little twins who are just weeks away from being born.

Oh Claire…these little guys are wonderful! I am VERY impressed. I made 2 of your sock monsters on the weekend, a lot of fun but they don’t look as lovely as your creations. I am keeping one and the other has been dropped at Sydney airport Avis rent a car carport with the Toy Society. Will blog about it later this week x

wow. they are super, super cute! my 12yr old and I have a bit of an owl obsession, and these are just sooo adorable.

That is one good looking family of owls. Now I hope that Pappa Owl has a good job because he certainly has a very big family to provide for! Very stereotypical I know, but there is no way Mum could go out to work… imagine the cost of all that owlcare!

Claire you did such a fabulous job with all those owls. How those little babies will love watching them. I always find it hard to find nice socks too!
