Little sock monster
July 8, 2009
My little boy is 20 months old. He is more entertaining, gorgeous and cheekier every day. As we approach the infamous twos he is truly turning into a little monster. So this sock softie was inspired by him. He has a round little belly, chubby little butt cheeks and is captured with a full ratbag scream. Just like Oscar.

Very convincing ratbag scream and a sweet belly button to boot!

He’s perfect! I love the different coloured hands… and the teeth.

He’s menacing yet very cute!

PS. No, I don’t have a 1930s sock machine. My mum knits my socks for me (by hand), but to be honest she’s more of a 1942 model

Congrats on your market success – glad to hear all went so well.
You should plot Oscar’s years with sock toys – I look forward to what you might create during the teenage years LOL!!
He’s fabulous.

What a fabulous idea Karen! The teenage years terrify me but not quite so much as the twos right now.

I have just started at BBabes & went to Matilda’s for my own research not knowing that you were a graduate. Thought i should let you know, the only pester problem i had from my 5 & 8 year old girls all day was from your stall. They loved the softies & wanted to buy your patterns. Good luck with your venture.

[...] have missed or not explained as well as I could. I’ve just finished the first version of the Little Sock Monster pattern and thought I’d ask you lovely bloggers if anyone is interested in testing it for me? [...]

My best friend is having a baby in a couple of weeks and I need something to do while I’m on vaca at gramma’s beforehand with my son. I would love to make her a lil monster.
