The flatpack gingerbread house.

Merry Christmas!
Well the gingerbread house worked after all. Safely transported from Sydney to Woodend as a pre-fab cushioned by lollies and icing sugar. I spent Christmas eve constructing the gingerbread house under the watchful eye of my brother-in-law. As a builder, he was quite concerned about my dodgey engineering and the structural integrity of the house but enough gooey royal icing mixture and holding bits in place does the trick every time.
I finishecd it off with a snowfall of icing sugar but sadly got carried away with Xmas day and forgot to take a photo of the final product. Still it was a big hit with the kids big and small.
