It’s the festival of Oscar around here as we celebrate our gorgeous little boy’s 1st Birthday today.
No first birthday would be complete without me going over the top with party plans, cakes and decorations. Last weekend we had a big birthday party for all the babies in our mothers group. The past year just would not have been the same without my mothers group pals and their gorgeous babes.
Anyway… I offered to do the cake, I LOVE doing kids birthday cakes. I decided on a rubber duck in a tub theme and bought a whole lot of little birthday duckies to go on top. Each of the kids got to keep a duck after we had devoured the Rasberry Swirl cake. I’ll post the making of tomorrow.
I’m astounded that a whole year has passed. I really feel that whole cliche of “it seems like only yesterday” coming on. I’d actually much rather feel like the marathon 55 hour labour and c-section was an eternity ago, sadly it’s still a little bit fresh in my mind today.
