It’s been Christening madness here! After a few practices and a very late night on Saturday I got the cupcakes done complete with little silver sailboats. The boats were really easy – just  normal silver wrapping paper folded using this origami tutorial. The flags were done by folding paper in half and sticking to a toothpick with double sided tape in the middle, then cutting the “v” out of the end with a scalpel. The cakes were just a white wings packet mix (is that cheating?) of white chocolate/ raspberry swirl with cream cheese icing lavishly piped on top! I discovered the secret to creating waves is volume… you just keep on piping to build up the swell. More pics up on Flickr.

PS: I had originally planned on red sailboats but they just weren’t christening enough in the end. Original inspiration from here
